Choose a DJ website template

Our templates will all work great on desktop or mobile, so it’s a matter of picking a template that catches your eye and reflects your style. All templates in Bandzoogle are included free with your account.

Choose a website template that has a clear area for an image, such as Anthem, Marquee, or Forte. Use an image that is personal - you spinning at a show or your mixing equipment, for example. Then add content throughout your website, page by page.

To choose a DJ template in Bandzoogle:

  1. From the ‘Edit Theme’ tab, click ‘View themes’ in the top left corner.
  2. Select EDM/DJ/Producer to view a selection of DJ templates
  3. Hover your cursor and select a theme you’d like to try
  4. Select ‘Apply Theme’
  5. Select ‘Continue with this theme’
  6. Make design adjustments if desired, then click ‘Save’
  7. Choose ‘Yes, publish’ to apply your theme to your website

You can change your website’s template at any time and your content will remain in place. For more details, please see the ‘Changing Templates or Themes’ help article.

Create a Homepage

On a DJ website homepage, start with content that will engage your visitors and offer a snapshot into your career. Include the following:

  • An image and text feature with a short bio and photo
  • Mailing list sign-up form
  • Latest news in a Blog feature
  • A track list feature with a few of your mixes
  • Upcoming events in a Calendar feature

To create your DJ website Homepage in Bandzoogle:

  1. From the ‘Edit Content’ tab, click ‘Pages’
  2. Select ‘Add a page’
  3. Choose the ‘Home page’ template
  4. Adjust your page options (see note below)
  5. Click ‘Create my page’

This will create a quick preset page layout for your Homepage. You can add or remove features at any time. You can also set these features into columns or rows to make a unique layout.

Once your features are in place, populate the content with images, text, any upcoming dates, plus your mixes.

Add an About page

Next, you can add an About or Bio page to your DJ website. This is a great way to give your fans and website visitors a more in-depth look at your music and your personality.

To create your DJ website About page in Bandzoogle:

  1. From the ‘Edit Content’ tab, click ‘Pages’
  2. Select ‘Add a page’
  3. Click ‘More page types’
  4. Choose Page Type: About
  5. Adjust your page options (see note below)
  6. This will name your page ‘Bio’ by default; you can adjust that to ‘About,’ or anything you’d like
  7. Click ‘Create my page’

This will set up a preset page that includes an image and text feature. Place your DJ website bio text into the feature. Then, add an image of yourself at the turntables or on stage.

To adjust the look of your ‘Image and Text’ feature, please see the ‘Image and Text’ feature article.

Upload your Music and Mixes

An integral part of any DJ website is samples tracks and mixes. You’ll want to add music in multiple places on your website, but your Music page is a great place to show it off in more detail.

To create your DJ website’s Music page in Bandzoogle:

  1. From the ‘Edit Content’ tab, click ‘Pages’
  2. Select ‘Add a page’
  3. Choose Page Type: Music
  4. Adjust your page options (see note below)
  5. This will title your page ‘Music’ by default; you can call it ‘Mixes,’ or ‘Music samples’ (or anything you’d like)
  6. Click ‘Create my page’

By default, your ‘Music’ page will include a ‘Music’ feature. Click on that to choose whether you’d like to display your tracks in an Album, Track list, or Compact Player. You can allow visitors to preview your songs or offer them for sale.

Another nice feature to add to this page is a ‘Text’ feature. You can write some detail and backstory to give your music more meaning. If you regularly play weddings or similar events, adding songs into a song list can work on this page.

For more details on setting up your music player, please see our ‘Adding Music’ article.

Set Up a Services Page

It’s important to create a well-organized and professional services page on your DJ website. This will attract customers and help you book more events.

To create a services page for your DJ website in Bandzoogle:

  1. From the ‘Edit Content’ tab, click ‘Pages’
  2. Select ‘Add a page’
  3. Choose the ‘Blank’ page type
  4. In the ‘Title’ field, enter ‘Services’
  5. Click ‘Create my page’

This page is a blank canvas where you can add what you do as a DJ. If you play for events such as weddings or corporate functions, list your prices and packages. Add testimonials from past clients to highlight your experience and boost your legitimacy.

A ‘Services’ page on a DJ website often contains text features, an image feature, and a contact feature. You can add any features you’d like and edit or remove them at any time. To learn how to add features to your page, please view: Adding features.

Add an EPK Page

An EPK for DJs will help you book more events. This EPK page should provide a glimpse into what a client or club owner can expect when they book you. The page itself should be uncluttered and well-organized.

To add an EPK page to your DJ website in Bandzoogle:

  1. From the ‘Edit Content’ tab, click ‘Pages’
  2. Select ‘Add a page’ 3. Choose Page Type: Electronic Press Kit (EPK) This will title your page ‘Press Kit’ by default
  3. Adjust your page options - for example, you may want to password-protect your EPK page or set it to not appear in your main menu.
  4. Click ‘Create my page’

This will add the following to your page: a Quote feature, an Image and Text feature, a section for press photos, a music player, a video feature, and a contact form.

You can fill in these features with your short bio, imagery, a testimonial, music, and a video. Be sure to choose your best and most up-to-date information to impress venue bookers and potential clients. You can re-order, remove, or add new features to your EPK page at any time.

Create a Contact page

Now that people have seen your website and what you offer, they may want to get in touch for more details on what you provide. They may also want to get a custom quote for an event. Make it easy for anyone to get in touch with you by adding a dedicated Contact page to your DJ website’s menu.

To create a Contact page for your DJ website in Bandzoogle:

  1. From the ‘Edit Content’ tab, click ‘Pages’
  2. Select ‘Add a page’
  3. Click ‘Common page templates’
  4. Choose ‘Contact page’
  5. Adjust your page options (see note below) This will name your page ‘Contact’ by default, but you can change this to whatever you like
  6. Click ‘Create my page’

The most important feature on this page will be a custom form. You can create a form that asks potential clients to enter in details from their name, to their email address, event date, budget, and more. To see how to set up a form in more detail, please view the ‘Custom Form feature’ article.

Customize your DJ website design

Establishing an online presence that reflects your personality and style is important for a DJ. With Bandzoogle you can tailor your DJ website template to match your sound and vibe. After you have chosen your theme, adjust the display options within the Edit Theme tab to create a look that is unique to your DJ website.

The best DJ website designs include a stunning header image, styled sections, and curated content. With any DJ website design, you’ll be adding colorful content, from videos to images. A clean, simple background often works well with a main image that tells a story. To increase the visual interest on your DJ website, add styled background sections to your content.

If you mainly play sets for events, such as weddings, you can choose to create a website design that’s neutral, crisp, and professional. As a club DJ you may want to embody a funky, fresh vibe that should you’re up on modern music.
