Bandzoogle's new 'Benjamin' website template is subtly striking, with adjustable page content width, customizable background color opacity, and the option to add a page background image. This template allows you to build visual appeal from the ground up.
You can switch templates at any time without losing your current content. If you'd like to try the Benjamin template, go to the 'Edit Theme' tab in your Bandzoogle account, and click 'view themes' in the top left corner. Select from one of the six 'Benjamin' variations, and then use the options on the left side of the editor to customize your website's look and feel.
'Benjamin' website template features
Header
The 'Benjamin' website template provides layout options for your title and menu at the top of your page. You can choose where your site title—often your band or project name—appears, either above or below your menu.
You can add a distinct color behind your site title, which will sit behind your name and navigation menu. Then you can adjust the opacity to let some of the page background peek through if you'd like.
By default, the navigation menu appears below the site title in the 'Benjamin' template. You have the option to change this layout, placing the navigation menu below the site title giving your site a more traditional feel.
You can modify the display settings for your page header area in the 'Edit Theme' tab as follows:
- Title and menu background color and opacity
- Flip title and menu: toggle to position the menu above or below the title
Title/logo
Your site's title or logo appears at the top of the 'Benjamin' template, aligned to the left.
You can opt for a text-based title, upload a custom logo, or remove the title entirely. These options are available:
- Text: Enter your band or artist name in the 'Site Title' field. You can choose the font color, set the font style, size, spacing, and toggle the 'uppercase' option on or off.
- Logo: Upload a logo by clicking 'Choose An Image' and adjust its size using the slider.
- None: This option removes the site title area.
Menu
Your website’s page names are displayed horizontally in the top-left corner of the 'Benjamin' template as clickable text buttons, guiding visitors to various sections of your site.
You can customize the look of your navigation menu using the following design settings:
- Menu font color
- Menu font hover color
- Submenu background color
- Submenu font color
- Mobile font color
- Mobile background color
- Menu font (type, style, size, and uppercase/lowercase)
To change the position of your menu (above or below the site title), switch the 'Flip title and menu' toggle in the Header/Image section of the 'Edit Theme' tab.
Page
The 'Benjamin' theme offers a full-page background where you can upload an image or use a solid color, along with various other content options. You can set your content to span the full width of the page. If you choose to add a background image, it will remain static as visitors scroll through the content.
Here are the customization options for the 'Benjamin' page background:
- Page background color
- Page background image: upload your own or select from stock images
- Background image opacity
- Page content positioning: Left / Center / Right
- Page content width
Content
The 'Content' section defines consistent design elements across your website, such as content titles, headings, and fonts. The 'Benjamin' template offers the following customization options:
- Content font: choose the type, style, size, line height, and uppercase/lowercase settings, along with the link style
- Title font: set the type, size, line height, letter spacing, and uppercase/lowercase options
- Heading 1 font: adjust the type, style, size, line height, and uppercase/lowercase settings
- Heading 2 font: adjust the type, style, size, line height, and uppercase/lowercase settings
Sections
Bandzoogle website templates include three section styles. You can apply section styles to your website’s content through the 'Edit Content' tab. To customize the section designs, navigate to the 'Section Style' settings in the 'Edit Theme' tab. Here, you can adjust the styling of each section.
You can customize sections using these options:
- Content font color
- Link color
- Title font color
- Heading 1 font color
- Heading 2 font color
- Button color
- Button hover color
- Background color
- Background color opacity

Buttons
Several features in your template include buttons, such as the 'Mailing List Sign-up Form' and 'Custom Form.' You can match the button design to your site’s theme by customizing the following:
- Shape: Rounded / Square / Pill
- Style: Outline / Solid
- Color: adjust the 'button color' setting in the relevant 'Section Style 1/2/3' area
Site-wide music player
The 'Benjamin' template includes a site-wide music player that can be added through the 'Edit Content' tab. This player appears in the bottom right corner of your page, pops up when clicked, and plays music as visitors browse your website. To customize the player’s colors, enable the 'Use custom colors' option in the 'Edit Theme' section and adjust the following:
- Background color
- Text color (White / Black)
Site-wide 'My Sites'
This template comes with social media icons that appear site-wide in the header, in the top right corner, opposite your menu. You can customize the icons as follows:
- Button size
- Button color
- Button hover color
Variations
The 'Benjamin' music website template offers four variations. Each preset version comes with a palette of color and fonts designed to work together. With each variant, you can use the existing colors and add content, or adjust the colors and design options to customize the look and feel.
Neutral: Featuring plain white, gray, and black, the 'Neutral' palette is perfect for those who prefer a clean and minimalist look. This palette is great for classical musicians, acoustic artists, or anyone whose music is more subdued and sophisticated, allowing the content to take center stage.
Sombre: Dark gray paired with hot pink creates a striking contrast in the 'Sombre' palette. This edgy combination works well for rock bands, metal artists, or anyone whose music has a darker, more intense vibe. It's bold and memorable, just like your sound.
Playful: The 'Playful' palette combines bright pastel colors, making it ideal for pop artists, children's musicians, or anyone whose music has a fun, upbeat energy. The vibrant hues are sure to catch the eye and convey a sense of joy and creativity.
Elegant: The 'Elegant' palette is mostly white with touches of soft pink and blue, perfect for jazz musicians, folk artists, or any act that exudes grace and sophistication. This palette helps create a refined and polished look, ideal for showcasing music that is both timeless and tasteful.
Bold: Strong, vibrant teal, and pink make up the 'Bold' palette, designed for artists who want their website to make a statement. This palette is perfect for pop-punk bands, EDM artists, or any musician looking to convey energy, excitement, and a sense of adventure.
Minimal: With soft shades of blue and purple, the 'Minimal' palette offers a calm and serene aesthetic. It's a great choice for ambient music producers, singer-songwriters, and electronic artists who want their website to reflect the tranquil nature of their sound.
