When someone finds you on Google, the listing they see has three parts: a title, a short description, and (in many places, including social shares) an image. You can now control all three for every page, product, album, blog, blog post and event on your site, and see them all in one place.

Auto generated or Custom
Each page, product, album, blog, blog post and event has two SEO options:
- Auto generated (default): we build the title, description and image from your content automatically.
- Custom: write your own. The fields start pre-filled with your existing name, artist name, description and first image, so you only need to change what you want. A preview shows roughly how your search listing will look.
Whatever you set here is added to the page's code where search engines look for it.
Where to find the SEO settings
Pages
Edit Content > Pages > cog icon next to the page > Advanced settings > SEO
Products: Edit content > pages > page name > Store feature, or Selling tools > Products
Albums: Edit content > pages > page name > Album Music feature or Files > Music

Events: Edit content > pages > page name > Calendar feature**
Note: Products from Printful don't have SEO settings yet. They're coming soon.
Using the Search previews page
To see and edit everything in one place:
- Click the gear icon in the top right corner of your control panel to open Site Settings.
- Choose SEO > Search previews.
- Use the search box, or filter the list by type (pages, products, albums, events, blog, blog posts) or by status. Hidden pages and unpublished events are labelled so you can spot them.
- Click any preview to edit its SEO settings in a pop-up, or to open the item's own edit screen.
Search engine and AI visibility
Below the Custom SEO form you'll find a Search engine and AI visibility section. Use it to ask search engines and AI tools not to index that one page or item.
If you've set a site-wide rule in Site Settings > SEO > Robots & AI access, this section will be greyed out, because the site-wide setting takes priority.
These settings guide search engines and AI tools but can't force them, and content that has already been crawled may keep appearing in results for a while.
Tips for writing titles and descriptions
- Keep titles to around 60 characters and descriptions to a sentence or two (around 150–160 characters).
- Include your artist name, plus your genre and location where it fits.
- Write each description for a person, not a search engine. It's what convinces someone to click.
- Search engines update on their own schedule, so changes can take days or weeks to appear, and Google sometimes rewrites titles and descriptions. Resubmitting your sitemap (Site Settings > SEO > Google Console/Sitemaps) can help.
