Your website is the home for your music but it's also a music store. With our Store feature you can sell almost anything you'd like from your website - with no commission! This option is available on Standard and Pro plans.

What you can sell

The Bandzoogle 'Store' allows you to sell anything that follows our Terms of Service. Here's a short list of what many Bandzoogle members use the Store feature to sell:

  • Clothing - branded T-shirts, hoodies, tank tops, hats, and bandanas
  • Stickers, decals, and posters
  • Guitar picks, shot glasses, flash drives with music on them
  • Digital files (Pro plan only): Video lessons, PDFs, and sheet music
  • Plus much more!

    Note: Digital music downloads should always be sold using a specific music feature.

Warning: It is against Bandzoogle's Terms of Service to sell anything that promotes pornographic material, violence, hatred, or discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age. It is also prohibited to sell animals from your account.

Setting up the 'Store' feature

  1. From the 'Edit Content' tab, click 'Pages' and open the page on which you'll be working
  2. Click 'Add feature'
  3. Select the 'Store' feature and use the placement arrows to set the feature's location
  4. Click 'Add Product'
  5. In the 'Add new product' area, select the 'Product Type' from the list

Note: to sell products on your website you need to have a payment processor connected to your account (PayPal or Stripe), through the 'payment settings' tab in your Bandzoogle account. Without a payment processor connected, your items will not be available for purchase, and will be listed as 'out of stock' on the live website. Once you connect your PayPal and/or Stripe account in the 'payment settings' tab, your items will be available for purchase on your website.

Product Types

Continuing from step 5, follow the instructions below depending on which product type you select.

CD, vinyl, or cassette

  • Click 'Select an album…' to choose an album you've already added or click 'Create a new album' to set up a new album in your account

Product/Service

  1. Adjust the product/service details:
    • Product name: Example - CD (without download), vinyl, T-shirt, sticker, poster, etc.
    • Description: Enter a thorough description of what the customer will receive should they buy this item
    • Images: Upload images of your product from your device. You can add multiple images here to show multiple aspects of the product
    • Status:
      • Available: Item will display for purchase on your website.
      • Not available: Item will display on your website but will include a 'Not available' note below the image.
      • Hidden: Allows you to add the product to your Bandzoogle account but won't display the item on your website until you change the status to 'available.'
      • Archive: Removes the item from all stores including share links. If it is a music product like a CD, it will no longer be available for purchase if paired with a digital album. Archived items can be unarchived and added back to your store at a later date.
    • Add to a store: Click the 'Add to a store' button, then check off the store(s) to which you'd like your gift card added
    • Purchase type:
      • Free
      • Paid - fixed price: You set a purchase price for the item.
        • Optional: Select 'Is on sale' to set a sale price or a discount percentage.
      • Paid - fans set price: You allow your fans to set the price they want to pay for the item. A minimum amount can be set here.
    • Subscriber pricing: Toggle on and to set a special price for your site subscribers
      • Lowest applicable tier: set the lowest subscriber tier this pricing is available for
      • Subscriber purchase type:
        • Free
        • Paid - fixed price: You set a purchase price for the item.
        • Optional: Select 'Is on sale' to set a sale price or a discount percentage.
        • Paid - fans set price: You allow your fans to set the price they want to pay for the item. A minimum amount can be set here.
    • TaxJar category: For those who collect tax using the TaxJar integration. Select the tax category for your item.

    • Linking and sharing: Toggle on to allow the product to be shared on social media and to create a direct link to the item
    • Free download: Toggle on 'Attach a free download.' Select a 'File or Track' from the dropdown.
    • Inventory: (Pro plan only). Toggle on to track inventory.
      • Set the number of available units for this item. Once the last item has sold, the website will display a 'Out of stock' note.
    • Variations: Toggle on to offer variations, including size, color, and price.
      • See the 'Adding product variations' section of this Help article for more details.
    • Shipping: Toggle on if the item requires shipping.
      • Choose your shipping options and costs.

        Note: If not toggled on, the transaction will not require a shipping address

    • Regions (Merch Table Pro plan only): Use the toggle to ‘Use custom shipping region’ in this section. This option will limit purchases of this item to the region you set in your shipping settings.
    • Upsell Products (Pro plan only): To encourage extra sales, click the 'add upsell products' button and select up to three complementary products to appear as "Frequently purchased together" alongside this product. For more details, please view the 'Upselling Products' Help article.`
  2. Click 'Save'

File Download

This option delivers a file download to your customer by email. Only use this option for non-music files. To upload music files, use a music feature ('Single' / 'Album' / 'Track List' / 'Compact Player' / 'Sitewide Player') instead.

  1. Adjust the file download details:
    • Product name: Sheet music, video, eBook, etc.
    • Description: Enter a thorough description of what the customer will receive should they buy this item.
    • Images: Upload images that show an example of the file that the customer will receive.
    • Status:
      • Available: Item will display for purchase on your website.
      • Not available: Item will display on your website but will include a 'Not available' note below the image.
      • Hidden: Allows you to add the product to your Bandzoogle account but won't display the item on your website until you change status to 'available.'
      • Archive: Removes the item from all stores including share links. If it is a music product like a CD, it will no longer be available for purchase if paired with a digital album. Archived items can be unarchived and added back to your store at a later date.
    • Add to a store: Click the 'Add to a store' button, then check off the store(s) to which you'd like your gift card added
    • Files: Upload files from your computer or click 'choose existing file...' to select a file you've already uploaded to your Bandzoogle account.
    • Purchase type:
      • Free
      • Paid - fixed price: You set a purchase price for the item.
        • Optional: Select 'Is on sale' to set a sale price or a discount percentage.
      • Paid - fans set price: You allow your fans to set the price they want to pay for the item. A minimum amount can be set here.
    • Subscriber pricing: Toggle on and to set a special price for your site subscribers
      • Lowest applicable tier: set the lowest subscriber tier to which this pricing is available
      • Subscriber purchase type:
        • Free

Selling sheet music

If you need to sell sheet music files specifically, you can set up a ‘sheet music’ item in your store feature. The sheet music feature supports the following formats: PDF, MusicXML, MuseScore (.mscz), Sibelius (.sib), Finale (.musx), Guitar Pro (.gp), Power Tab (.ptb)

  1. From the ‘Edit Content’ tab, click ‘Pages’ and open the page on which you’ll be working
  2. Click ‘Add feature’
  3. Select the ‘Store’ feature and use the placement arrows to set the feature’s location
  4. Click ‘Add Product’
  5. Under ‘New Product’, select ‘Sheet Music’
  6. Enter the product information
    • Title: The composition name
    • Description: Enter a thorough description of what the customer would receive when purchasing this item.
    • Status:
      • Available: Item will display for purchase on your website.
      • Not available: Item will display on your website but will include a ‘Not available’ note.
      • Hidden: Allows you to add the item on your Bandzoogle account but won’t display on your website until you are ready to set it to ‘available’.
    • Part: You can add multiple ‘parts’ of the sheet music to sell individually, or set up multiple ‘parts’ you’ve added to a single bundle download. Just click the ‘Add part’ to add additonal parts to the sheet music item. In each part setting you can set:
      • Name: like ‘strings’, or ‘piano’
      • Notes / Description: Optional, but could include key or transcription information for example.
      • Price: the cost to purchase just this single part file.
      • Upload file: where you can upload the part sheet music file.
    • Offer a bundle price for all parts: Toggle this on to set a ‘bundle’ price so customers can download all the parts for the sheet music in a single purchase.
    • Product Image: Upload images from your computer or from dropbox.com. Provide an example of the sheet music that the customer would receive.
    • Audio preview: You can add a short recording so customers can hear the piece for the sheet music before buying:
      • No Audio Preview: No preview player will display
      • Upload track: Upload a custom MP3, WAV, or FLAC audio preview file.
      • Track from library: Select an existing track already uploaded to your site.
  7. Click ‘Save’

Bundles

The bundle product type allows you to combine items you've already created in your 'Store' or music features. You can use this option to combine print-on-demand items, digital music, CDs, vinyl, cassettes, tickets, sheet music, and file downloads.   1. Click the 'Add products to your bundle' button
  2. Click the 'Add' link to the right of the items you'd like to combine into a product bundle
  3. Click 'Save & continue'
  4. Adjust the bundle details:
    • Status:
      • Available: Item will display for purchase on your website.
      • Not available: Item will display on your website but will include a 'Not available' note below the image.
      • Hidden: Allows you to add the product to your Bandzoogle account but won't display the item on your website until you change the status to 'available.'
      • Archived: Archiving a product hides it from your store features and it will no longer be sold. You can access archived items in your 'Products' table using the 'Archived' filter.
    • Add to a store: Click the 'Add to a store' button, then check off the store(s) to which you'd like to add your bundle
    • Title: The name of your bundle
    • Description: Enter a thorough description of what the customer will receive should they buy this bundle
    • Images: Upload images of your bundle. You can add multiple images here to show each of the items your customer would receive.
    • Purchase type:
      • Free
      • Paid - fixed price: You set a purchase price for the item.
        • Optional: Select 'Is on sale' to set a sale price or a discount percentage.
      • Paid - fans set price: You allow your fans to set the price they want to pay for the item. A minimum amount can be set here.
    • Subscriber pricing: Toggle on and to set a special price for your site subscribers
      • Lowest applicable tier: set the lowest subscriber tier to which this pricing is available
      • Subscriber purchase type:
        • Free
        • Paid - fixed price: You set a purchase price for the item.
        • Optional: Select 'Is on sale' to set a sale price or a discount percentage.
        • Paid - fans set price: You allow your fans to set the price they want to pay for the item. A minimum amount can be set here.
    • TaxJar category: For those who collect tax using the TaxJar integration. Select the tax category for your item.

    • Shipping: Toggle on if the item requires shipping.
      • Choose your shipping options and costs.
      • For detailed information on shipping, please view the 'Shipping Merch' Help article.

        Note: If not toggled on, the transaction will not require a shipping address

Adding product variations (e.g. size, color, price)

Please see the 'Setting up the 'Store' feature' section above for steps to add a 'Product/Service' item, then use the following steps to add variations such as size and color. You can add two variations per item with unlimited options per variation.

  1. In the 'Variations' section of the product details, toggle on 'This product has variations'
  2. Under 'What options does this product have?' select your first option from the dropdown
    • Color
    • Size
    • Style
    • Other: you will be prompted to add the name of your variation
  3. Click 'Apply'
  4. Your first variation choice will appear at the top of the first column. In the rows below, add your variation option.
    • e.g., if you select the 'Color' option, 'Color' will appear at the top of the first column. Enter the first color variation in the first row and the next color option in the next row (e.g. red, blue, etc.).
  5. Add a variation price in the furthest column.
    • The price will automatically be set at the original price of your item. You can increase the price for a variation. You can't set the price lower than the original price.
  6. Click 'Manage options' and 'Add another option' to add a second variation (e.g. size)
  7. Finish adding your item details (shipping, tax, etc.), then click 'Save.

    Note: It is important to add each the combinations for your variations. You can also list each color and size once, but if so the two columns must list the same amount of items. For example, if you list 4 colors, you must list 4 sizes as well.

    • blue, small
    • blue, medium
    • blue, large
    • red, small
    • red, medium
    • red, large

Store Preferences

The following preferences can be selected by clicking the Store feature, then choosing the corresponding tab from the settings pane on the left:

Options

  1. Select your preferred display format:
    • Grid view: Displays your store items in a 4-column grid.
    • List view: Displays your store items in a vertical list with full descriptions and details.
    • Large image list Displays your store items in a large image format. Great for stores with a small number of products.
  2. Show share links: Toggled on by default. Untoggle if you do not want site visitors to have the option to share your Store items to social media.
  3. Click the 'Save' button to apply any changes.

Discount codes (Pro plan only)

  1. Click 'Add a discount code'
  2. Enter your code and discount amount
  3. Toggle 'Active' to activate
  4. Set your expiry preference
  5. Click 'Save discount code'

Gift cards

Sell gift cards that your fans can redeem for music, tickets, or products for sale on your website. To get started, add a gift card as a product in your store. Gift cards you've sold through your 'Store' feature will appear here, in a list.

To manually issue just one gift card to a specific individual, click the 'issue gift card' button, enter the recipient's email address and the amount you'd like to issue them, and click the 'Issue card' button. Your recipient will receive an email with the subject 'Gift Card' - this email will contain a unique code that can be redeemed on your website during the checkout process. The amount of the gift card can be applied to any item available for purchase on your website.

Payment settings

Anytime you sell an item, you'll get paid. This payment will either go to Stripe or Paypal, depending on the payment options you have set up and which method of payment your customer chooses. Bandzoogle does not take or hold any money from your sales.

Note: Settings selected in the Payment Settings tab affect all payments and donations on your website. It is currently not an option to have different Paypal accounts for different stores or pages on your website.

Shipping

This tab is used to connect to EasyPost to make use of their label and shipping services, as well as set ‘Shipping Regions’ for accounts on our "Merch Table Pro" plans. To adjust the shipping settings for particular items available on your website, open that specific product within your 'Store' feature and adjust the item's shipping settings directly.

To set up an EasyPost account connection:

  1. Within the 'Shipping' tab, click 'Connect to EasyPost'
  2. Sign up for a free account at EasyPost
  3. Paste your EasyPost API key into the 'Shipping API key' field
  4. Input your shipping origin address - this is used to calculate shipping rates and the return address on your labels.
  5. Click 'Save Settings'

Note: During the checkout process, your fans will be prompted to enter their shipping address and telephone number. These are required for most shipping services and will be included in your transaction details.

Tax Settings

If you'd like to add sales tax to your store items you can either inflate the price of your item or use a service called TaxJar. The cost is $99 per month and payment is managed by TaxJar:

To set up a TaxJar account connection:

  1. Click the 'Tax settings' tab
  2. Click 'Connect TaxJar'
  3. Sign up for a TaxJar account
  4. Paste your TaxJar API key into the API token field
  5. Click 'Save Settings'

Transaction History

This is where all transactions made through all Bandzoogle sales features (purchases, subscriptions, free downloads) will be listed. You can also navigate to your 'Transaction History' tab by clicking on the 'View transactions' quick link in your Bandzoogle 'Control Panel'.

You can manage your orders from here as well: You can see pending and shipped orders, and you create printable packing slips by printing the order receipt. The receipt contains a summary of the order, quantity, pricing and shipping fees, as well as the customer's mailing address.

To filter your transactions:

In the top left corner of your list of transactions, you can click 'Purchases' apply the following filters from the dropdown menu:

  • All
  • Free downloads
  • Subscriptions
  • Purchases
  • To be shipped
  • Via PayPal
  • Custom date range: To apply a custom date range, click on the 'Select date range…' field and select the start date of your custom range from the calendar dropdown, then select the end date of your custom range.

To export a list of transactions as a .csv file:

  1. In the 'Transaction History' tab, click the 'Export link in the top right corner
  2. Select 'All transactions' to export a list of all transactions from your account, or click 'Current results' to export a list of only the filtered results

Note: the 'Current results' option appears only if you have a filter applied to your history of transactions (see filter options listed above).

Checkout settings

When a customer makes a merch purchase, a 'Thank you' message displays on the page. You can edit this message in plain text, then click 'Save.'

Note: The same 'Thank you' message appears across all eCommerce features on your website. It's not possible to have different messages per feature.

Pro and Merch Table Pro subscribers can also set the ‘Tip Jar at checkout’ option, to allow any customers to add a ‘tip’ to their cart and purchase total. Just enable the ‘Tip Jar at checkout option’, customize your tip amount preset options and custom settings, then click ‘save’.

Download codes

This is where all download codes issued from your account will be listed.

A download code lets fans download a track, album, single, or file for free. You can print the codes as stickers to put on CDs, merch and show tickets, or download the codes as a file to use them in other creative ways. Each download code is good for 5 days after the first time it is used. Each person receives their own download code.

Email a download

Use this option to send one track or album to one person at a time. To learn how to add a Music feature, please view the 'Adding Music' Help article.

  1. From the 'Edit Content' tab, click any music or 'Store' feature
  2. Click the 'Email a download' tab at the left
  3. From the dropdown, choose the album or track you'd like to send for free
  4. Enter the email address of your recipient
  5. Enter a message to your recipient (optional)

Note: It is against our Terms of Service to send unsolicited email. Please only send email to people who have given permission to you to do so.

Printful

With the Bandzoogle Pro plan, you can integrate Printful products seamlessly into your 'Store' feature. To connect your 'Store' feature to the Printful store of your choice, follow these steps:

  1. Within the 'Printful' tab, click 'Connect to Printful'
  2. Log in to your Printful account
  3. Choose the Printful Store you’d like to connect to and then click the ‘Authorize’ button to allow Bandzoogle access to the store’s products. If you only have one Printful account created, you’ll go straight to the authorization step.

How to edit from your 'Selling Tools' control panel

In your 'Selling Tools' control panel, you'll find options to edit and add inventory to your pages.

To adjust your page-specific store features, follow these steps:

  1. In your Bandzoogle control panel, click on 'Selling tools'
  2. Scroll to the 'Your store features' section, where you'll see a list of your store features
  3. The following details will be visible for each store on your account: Store name, the name of the page(s) where that specific store is displayed, the number of products in that store, and the options to 'Edit' or 'Add product' items as follows:
    • Edit: This will lead to the specific store feature, where you can click into the products on the page and make adjustments as needed.
    • Add: This will allow you to create a new product, use an existing product, or use a Printful product and add it directly to the this specific store.

There are several options to adjust store items from within the 'Products' tab of the Selling Tools page. To edit a specific merch item site-wide, you can use these steps:

  1. Click the 'Selling Tools' tab at the top of your control panel
  2. Click on 'Products' in the settings pane on the left
  3. Click the '...' link in the 'Actions' column, next to the product you'd like to adjust, and select from the following options:
    • Edit: Opens the product page, where you can adjust settings.
    • Share: Opens a panel of share options (Facebook, Threads, X, email, direct link, QR Code)
    • Make unavailable / make available: Changes the product status between 'not available' and 'available'. Where the product appears on your website, it will be marked 'not available' or 'available' depending on the product status.
    • Make hidden: Changes the product status to 'hidden' and hides it from the front-facing website page.
    • Duplicate: Automatically creates a duplicate of the product, with all the same settings. The product name is the same, with "(Copy)" added.
    • Archive: Automatically removes the product from all your stores and bundles, preventing it from being sold. The item can later be un-archived to be made available again.
    • Delete: Permanently deletes a product from your account.

Adding external store widgets

Because Bandzoogle's 'Store' features is integrated with PayPal and Stripe, it is not possible to link other gateways or credit card processors. You can use add external store widgets on your site, but they would not be integrated with Bandzoogle's selling tools.

If you'd like to add an external store widgets, such as Cafepress, Amazon, Big Cartel, etc., you can follow these steps:

  1. From the 'Edit Content' tab, click 'Pages' and open the page on which you'll be working
  2. Click 'Add feature'
  3. Select the 'HTML code' feature
  4. Use the placement arrows on that page to set the feature's location
  5. Paste the external store embed code into the text box
  6. Click 'Save'

Note: We cannot modify or provide support for external HTML code. If you have questions or concerns about the embedded feature, or require support for the widget, you'll need to contact the company that supplied the code.
