To display the number of visits to your website you can use the Hit Counter feature. This will give you a rough idea of how many people come to your website, and will display that number for your site visitors to see as well.
How to add a Hit Counter feature to your website:
- From the ‘Edit Content’ tab, click ‘Pages’ and open the page on which you’ll be working
- Click ‘Add feature’
- Select ‘Hit Counter’ and use the placement arrows to set the feature’s location
- Click ‘Save’
If you don’t want to start at 0 you can adjust the starting number and click ‘save’. You can also update this number anytime you’d like by clicking the ‘Hit Counter’ feature, adding a new number, then clicking ‘save’.
Note: While the Hit Counter is a responsive widget, it does not filter out non-human visitors like spam bots. For in-depth information on your visitors, check out your Reports tab
Best practice: Hit counters were popular in the early ‘90s, so adding one to your website can make it seem outdated.
