Once you've created a new page for your Bandzoogle website, you'll want to customize the page settings to match the purpose of the page. Your 'Page Settings' are where you'll be able to edit the Page Title, set whether or not the page displays in your main menu, adjust the accessibility options and so much more.

What are 'Page Settings?'

Your page's 'Page Settings' allow you to customize the settings for that particular page, including the page name, menu settings, visibility, accessibility, SEO options and more. Follow these steps to access your 'Page Settings':

  1. From the 'Edit Content' tab, click 'Pages'
  2. In the 'Pages' list, click the cog icon next to the name of the page to customize the settings.

In the next screen, you will see your 'Page Settings' options, including the following:

  • Title
  • Menu Settings
  • Page Options
  • Access
  • Seo Options

How to adjust your 'Page Settings'

Title

Your page 'Title' will display in your website's menu. It also determines what the page's direct URL will be ( YourDomainName.com/Pagename ) This setting is especially important for search engine queries and social media sharing.

To customize your 'Title' setting:

  1. Type your desired page title into the 'Title' field
  2. Scroll down and click 'Save'

Menu Settings

The Menu Settings allow you to customize how the page will display in your site's menu, or whether it will be excluded from the menu.

The Menu Settings options are:

  • Main page: The page title will appear as a button in your site menu.
  • Subpage: The page title appears in a dropdown menu under a main page button.
  • Not in menu: The page title does not appear in your site menu, but you camn link to it directly using the page URL.

Page Options

The 'Page Options' allow you to further customize the purpose of the page and how it displays on your website.

The Page Options are:

  • Visibility: When toggled on, this setting will make the page visible. You may want to keep the setting toggled off while you work on adding content to the page.
  • Landing Page: Toggle on to transform this page into a landing page (removes the header and footer.)
  • Show Navigation Menu: When toggled off, this setting will hide the main navigation menu on this page.
  • Display Page's Section in Menu: This setting is intended for one-page websites. When toggled on, this setting will display all section titles for this page in the main navigation menu.

Access

The access options allow you to determine who can see the page's content. You can make the page's content accessible to everyone who views it, only to site members, to subscribers only, or to anyone with the password.

  • Everybody: Allows unrestricted public access to the page's content.
  • Site members only: Requires visitors to register as a site member before accessing the content.
  • Subscribers only: The page's content is behind a subscription paywall and only visible to subscribers of a certain membership tier.
  • Anyone with a password: Requires visitors to enter a password before accessing the page.
    • When this option is toggled on, the 'Password' field will appear.

SEO Options

Your page's SEO options determine the title and page description that will display in search results.

When it comes to what information is used for your page's SEO, you can choose:

  • Automatically generated from your page content: The page's name will be taken from the page 'Title' and the description will be automatically generated from the page's content.
  • Custom: Allows you to enter in a custom page name and description to display in the search results, independent from your existing page content.
  • Hide From Search Engines: Toggle on if you'd like the page to not appear in search results.

Note: This won't remove the page from seacrh results instantly if it's already been indexed. It will be removed the next time your site's content is crawled, which may take a few days.
