Your Site Settings control the details that apply across your whole website, like your time zone and language, how you get paid, how your site shows up in search, and what appears in your footer.
How to open Site Settings
- Click the gear icon in the top right corner of your control panel.
- The Overview page shows a card for every section. Click a card, or choose a section from the menu on the left
What's in Site Settings
- Time & language: your time zone (used for event dates, order times and scheduled posts), your site language (for text Bandzoogle generates), your content language (advanced; tells browsers and screen readers what language your content is in) and your editor language.
- Payment settings: your currency and store country, and your connection to PayPal and/or Stripe. You can also reach this from Selling tools.
- SEO: everything that affects how your site shows up in search.
- Overview: see your site description as Google shows it, jump to Google Search Console, and find SEO guides.
- Site profile: project name, what your website is for, type, genres, short description, city/town and project image.
- Robots & AI access: choose whether search engines and AI agents can crawl your site, and optionally add a custom robots.txt or llms.txt. Note: Adjusting these settings cannot ‘block’ a specific bot from visiting your site. What is set here only guides bots to where the best places are to look or not look for information on a website. So if a search engine or AI has already crawled your content prior to any changes you make, and is displaying this information, like in a search result, changing these settings may not have any effect on these results.
- Google Console/Sitemaps: verify your site with Google and submit your sitemap.
- Headers & Metatags: add code to the head of every page, and metatag keywords.
- Redirects: add 301 redirects from old page addresses.
- Site icon: your favicon, the small icon in browser tabs and bookmarks.
- Meta Pixel(Pro plans): add your Meta Pixel to measure sales and conversions from Facebook and Instagram ads.
- Maintenance mode: hide your site behind a holding page while you work on it.
- Footer text: text that appears at the bottom of every page, like a copyright line.
- Terms: terms and policies fans agree to when they buy from you. A link appears in your footer.
Looking for something that used to be in Site-wide Settings?: Time zone and site language are now under Time & language. Site profile, Sitemaps, Headers & Metatags and Redirects are now under SEO. "Search engines and AI" is now SEO > Robots & AI access.
